Anjaana Anjaani

When I first saw the promos of the movie Anjaana Anjaani.. I was like yeah I will watch it :-)
When you r in a foreign land and you “love” movies especially the romantic one’s you wouldn’t miss this movie for anything on a weekend where otherwise you have no option than to go to malls or watch TV at home..

So on a Sunday afternoon I left for the theatre. I had decided to watch the 4 15 show. It was housefull and I was glad I went early (had experienced watching “we are family” on the third row) to get tickets of the second last row.

The movie is very filmy.. very filmy type romantic… but then so am I :-)
And whoa I did like the movie.. liked the concept too. Though couldn’t get to agree with Priyanka Chopra’s character, still I loved the movie. and later thought that Priyanka Chopra’s character was also ok.. means like these things could happen to people…and people could behave that way….And I thought how true.. sometimes or in fact most of the times the people who help you out when all you need is to make a new beginning are strangers.

And then I was thinking about aNjaAna's and aNjaAni's in my life who were meant to be friends for a while but for that time they were the most appropriate people in my life.

When you are with strangers you forget all your past hurts, sadness and u tend to start your life anew.

May be its the comfort factor and that the stranger doesn’t know you at all, which makes it so easy to forget the burden of the past and make a new beginning, write a new chapter in your life, and you can have the new beginning exactly the way you want it to be…

Here in South Africa there are 6 strangers I have encountered (of which one is a 3 year old girl Mahi) and I am perfectly happy and at peace when I am with them. Irrespective of all the sadness or anxiety I feel when I am alone sometimes vanishes the moment I let myself be the new “MARI”, the happy “MARI”. And it’s a whole new world for me.

This blog goes to all the anjaana’s and anjaani's in my life. You all have made my life worthwhile :-)
And also to those who are no more anjaana’s and anjaani’s but lifelong friends :-)

Let go and Let GOD!!!!

Sometimes we find it very difficult to let go…. There can be many reasons to do this…Probably because we are so used to how our lives are lived … probably because we believe there is some reason for holding on to something…. Or just simply because we are not ready to look at the bigger PICTURE….

I once read somewhere that GOD is an author… who has written our lives… whose "WILL" will be done in our lives. If you all know, a good author (for me it would be J.K. Rowling) doesn't tell the whole story in the first chapter. He doesn't give it all away. He holds things back, revealing them as the reader goes along. A good author involves you in the characters, lets you feel what they feel, lets you put yourself in their position and learn with them. A good author writes the story so that you enjoy the journey of reading it. Then He wows you by tying up all the loose ends in a spectacular way.

The thing is that most of us don't want to live our lives like that do we? We somehow expect the Lord to tell us the end at the beginning. In a sense He has told us the end. For He promises, "that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28). He just doesn't tell us HOW He's going to do it or WHEN it's going to happen. After all, wouldn't that ruin the story? All we really need to know is that there will be a happy ending in which we'll look back and say, "It was worth every bit of the struggle to be where I am today."

Of the Who, What, When, Where, How and Why questions that any good story answers, the only two you can control are the What and the Why. You control what you want from life. Jesus repeatedly advised, "Ask and ye shall receive, knock and it shall be opened." Ask specifically. You also control the Why -- your purpose. Why do you want the goal? All God requires of you is for you to maintain the vision of what you want, your purpose for attaining it, and your expression of gratitude that you will obtain it. The rest is up to God. He controls who is involved, when and where it will take place and how. Happiness comes when you stop caring about the questions God controls and concentrate on what you want and why you want it.

jUsT rAnDoM tHoUgHtS......

Hello everyone,

Well a new thought just crossed my mind :)
I just realized that things aren’t as difficult as it seems it may be!!!!
Later u may give a laugh about something that years earlier u thought was so difficult and now its like it doesn’t make much of a difference now…
I think more than seeming more difficult we probably just over estimate certain things in our life… we also give them more priority than we should not and then probably God just sets everything with the right priority in our life.
He takes away certain things from our lives (which saddens us for quite some time ) but I guess if u trust God’s ways in the end there’s just gratitude and happiness in ur heart for God that he took care of u when u most needed Him…
I am also a firm believer in the Om Shanti Om theory..in the Alchemist theory in the Secret theory… I firmly believe in it and touch wood ( hehehe ) its always been like this in my life….I always wish for something with all my heart and it just happens out of the blue…
Maybe its because the whole universe (the whole universe for me is my family and friends ) conspires so I get that thing that I so truly wish for :)
And yes also sometimes it doesn’t happen…but u know one thing if u just surrender ur life into God’s arms surely truly all good will happen in ur life coz God has a plan for u

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

Well its so true that the moment u leave ur life into Gods hands he will work out wonderful things for u…
I know its difficult when it takes time for those wonderful things to happen :(
But when it does happen the time it took to happen seems very minimal..very unimportant…
Well I remembered a hymn again that we sing … In His Time

Happiness… it’s the one thing everyone wants wants..everyone craves for……….. everyone wishes for ….. happiness…..


The basic thing is that everyone wants happiness, no one wants suffering. It's pretty hard to tell what does bring happiness. Poverty and wealth have both failed.


But happiness mainly comes from our own attitude, rather than from external factors. If your own mental attitude is correct, even if you remain in a hostile atmosphere, you feel happy…….


I always wonder, if only we'd stop trying to be happy we'd have a pretty good time…. :) :)
We often think that success is the key to happiness but the actual fact is that happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
Happiness belongs to the self-sufficient….
For me happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family and friends in another country……
When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.

Here on earth, We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same…………..
